Commodore Gene Seibert, National Commodore,
December 2004
HOLIDAY GREETING
As 2004 draws to a close, I look forward to your continued dedication and fellowship in the New Year.
Reflecting on our course ahead, I see us – beyond the requirements of our missions – as a family of volunteers united together in service to our country.
Whether our dedication to our fellow citizens is in recreational boating safety, operations or administration, the safety and security of our nation molds us into a family whose members are willing to go that extra step in the service of others.
Each of you makes a difference and that makes each of you a special member of a remarkable family, the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
As we consider this season of renewal, good will and hope for the future, please take a moment to consider how fortunate we are to be able to serve together.
I urge you to rededicate yourself, in this season of fellowship, to your efforts in our noble service.
In wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year, I would especially like to express my sincere appreciation to each of you for all that you do and to give a special thanks to your loved ones for their support of your dedication to serve others.
Warmest Regards and
Happy Holidays,
Gene M. Seibert
We Need You-- The Coast Guard Auxiliary is called upon to provide essential services to the Coast Guard as they focus more heavily on their military missions. We need all the help we can get. You needn't own a boat or be an experienced boater, since our missions are wide-ranging. For information about Auxiliary missions and the Auxiliary in general, go to our Join the Auxiliary web page. You will find there a form through which you can ask that a local Auxiliarist make contact with you to explore the ways in which you can assist Team Coast Guard.
