Getting union representation is the best way to gain the working conditions that you and your co-workers deserve. With a union, you have the legal right to bargain over your pay, benefits, employment security, health and safety, and retirement, etc. A union also gives you the ability to negotiate over company policies that affect promotions, job responsibilities, layoffs, and many other aspects of your job.

By being a part of the IBEW you will be working under a contract agreement that is signed by both Tribune and your Local Union.
This contract will determine how your wage and benefit package is divided up so you know what to expect to receive for every hour that you work.
It will outline working conditions, Employer rights, Union rights, shift work, and safety. Every Shop has it's own Labor Agreement and it is every member's duty to know it, help enforce it, and enjoy it's benefits.
