WPIX NEGOTIATION COMMITTEE
The new IBEW Local 1212 Contract with WPIX has been ratified!!
The Contract Negotiating Committee, led by Ralph Avigliano, met will the Company 11 times to hammer out a new 4 year deal with:
Three percent raises each year (based on the Grandfather's rate in years 1 and 2; based on the Grandson's rate in years 3 and 4)
A $6 increase in the weekly pension contribution over the four years ($2, $2, $1, and $1).

Medical Reimbursement Plan set up by IBEW Local 1212
More than 60% of the ballots sent out were returned. None were disqualified. Over 90% voted to ratify the new agreement.
*We elected a 5-person committee. The ratio of the 5 people was: 2 from the Grandfathers, 2 from the Grandsons and 1 from the Freelancers.
EACH NOMINATION HAD AN ACCOMPANYING SECOND to qualify. The qualifying nominees were placed on a ballot in each of your 10th floor mailboxes. You marked your choices, placed ballot in the envelope provided, and returned it to the ballot box conveniently located next to the vacation pick board in the room across from Air Control.
