New York's WB11 (WPIX-TV), is the flagship station of The WB Television Network, and is seen in over 10 million homes through over-the-air and satellite distribution.

Founded in 1948 and owned by Tribune Broadcasting, a division of the Tribune Company, WB11 has long been regarded as a groundbreaking station in New York. Its successful WB Network programming, (which includes "7th Heaven" , "Smallville," and "The Gilmore Girls"), award winning "WB11 News At Ten", The "WB11 Morning News", extensive library of gigantic hit movies, first-run programs, off-network sitcom favorites such as Friends, Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond, quality children's programming and public affairs shows, as well as outstanding event coverage, have contributed tremendously to the station's success.

The WB Network's prime time programming currently airs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights and Kids' WB, the network's children's block, airs weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings. New Yorkers will have even more great programming to look forward to as the station continues to acquire more hit movies.

In the summer of 1999, The WB11 became the official broadcast TV home of the New York Mets.

In late 1995, the station unveiled its state-of-the-art news and production facilities at its East 42nd Street headquarters.

The award-winning News At is now broadcast from its new studio, with the bustling newsroom and panoramic views of 42nd Street serving as the backdrop.

The WB11 has won multiple Emmy awards; including best newscast  for the "WB11 News At Ten"  . The "WB11 News At Ten" has also been honored with several highly coveted Edward R. Murrow Awards for Spot News Coverage and Best TV Newscast by the Radio & Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) and has received numerous New York State Broadcasters Awards for news specials and instant breaking news coverage.
