Graduated from the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Armed Peace Officer Academy course in 1988. Continuously recertified in Article 35 and police firearms training every year since.
Certified Instructor for the American Red Cross CPR For The Professional Rescuer course.
Certified as a U.S. Coast Guard Small Arms Range Safety Officer and a plank holder in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Firearms Coaching Unit, Bob is one of only two members of the entire Coast Guard Auxiliary certified to teach the "Shoot-Don't Shoot”, Judgmental Firearms Simulation Course (FATS).
Received a Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation in 2007 for his work as part of the N.Y./N.J. Port Authority Police Boat Crew Training Academy Instructor Team.
